I used to play ice hockey, and I did various other sports too in my youth. Before starting with CrossFit, I went to the gym with my friends for a year and a half. I also went to kettlebell and spinning classes, but I started to feel I want to get a bit more out of the workouts. In the beginning, the diversity of movement got me interested in CrossFit. Soon, I noticed I wasn’t in as good shape as I thought, and it took some time to learn all the movements and right techniques such as snatch, kipping pull-ups, and double unders. As soon as I gained confidence with the techniques, I got interested in competing. I competed in a team competition in 2014 for the first time.
Your coolest sport memory:
One of the best memories is the Winter War in 2018, where I won two heats and ended up in the top 5 in those events. Last year, we won silver in European Championships in indoor rowing team relay.
