The coronavirus news is on everyone's lips, and we wanted to give you an update on how things look for our partners and for us right now. Like everyone at this time, we feel a responsibility to continue to monitor and respond to the rapidly-evolving situation. Presumably, this has brought several schedule changes and event cancellations, and it is unclear how long this all will last. Despite the unusual and unique times, we are trying to continue working as normally as we can. Given these exceptional conditions, we feel it helps to anchor ourselves in usual routines, our work, and to focus on what is good.
As you know, we manufacture our clothing in a partnership with a small company named Kamilla. We have been in contact with the Kamilla ladies, and they are luckily all healthy and try to continue working as normally as they can as well. They already see some reductions in clothing orders so the future looks insecure for them, too. They also informed us that the Italian fabric manufacturers are going to close their factories for at least two weeks..
We continue providing you with the best support possible and we kindly ask you to continue supporting small businesses, like us, during this difficult time. Many small physical businesses are now in trouble. If there is something you can do to help them, please do it. It might save someone's livelihood. Can you buy a gift card or two? Maybe you don't freeze your gym membership. Can you pick-up food or order home delivery from your favourite restaurant? Can you support online training courses and workshops?
We’ll see how this will affect online businesses. As long as Kamilla, our warehouse, and our online store go on, Népra can keep going and we can keep the business going. We are still a small company that just reached a huge milestone, but also took a risk, and hired our first employee. Even though we are very excited about this, and for now, things haven’t changed too much, we can't be sure it stays like this (nobody can).
