The cosiest time to wear Népra

The cosiest season of the year

When 2020 began, there was this twinkling feeling of a new decade and a fresh start. Well, we all know too well that this year has provided us with a massive change, and we are yet to find out what the future holds for us.

In the midst of a global pandemic, we find it best to apply a stoic mindset. It is neither bad nor good. It is what it is. This year has been full of lessons about acceptance and letting go. However, it is possible to continue to live our lives to the fullest in the circumstances we have.

After such a year, it is time to be extra gentle with ourselves, put on the cosiest outfits, and concentrate on the merry and bright atmosphere of Christmastime. That is why we wanted to treat you to lovely face yoga!

Face yoga is a great way to relax the muscles of your face. Did you know that there are 43 muscles in our face and neck? Their primary task is to support your face and produce expressions (Airaskorpi 2020 p. 35). It is unbelievable how much tension and stress we hold on our faces without even noticing.

Watch this short face yoga video and apply the moves along with Pia.

If you don't want to give this a try right away, you can come back later during your Christmas holidays. You can repeat it anytime you feel a need to take a moment to yourself and relax your face muscles and mind.

If you want more, here are some wholesome tips & recommendations from us for the upcoming holidays:

Let's be gentle to ourselves and each other, and not forget to take time to relax.

Love,

Ama, Essi, Elsa & Aino
