Far in the North, we love simple, practical, and beautiful design. At Népra, we are proud of our origin, values, and our close relationship with nature. Yet, minimalism means us so much more than just minimalist timeless items without seasons. We tend to seek simplicity in everything we do.
Minimalism is a lifestyle that goes hand in hand with our thoughts on slow living and slow fashion, but it’s tightly related to our thoughts about holistic wellbeing too. We as human beings are craving for more purpose in life; the overstimulation caused by the glorification of busy makes us emotionally less stable. We need calmer and quieter places to keep the creative juices flowing. No matter what we do in life, we need creativity because that's where the magic happens; that’s how our brain formes the new connections.
We understand as entrepreneurs taking care of ourselves and our health must be our priority. We must invest in it. What can we achieve without a healthy strong self? This does not only apply to entrepreneurs though. This is our universal concern. We believe movements like slow living and minimalism can play a vital role in increasing our holistic wellbeing. Slowing down and simpler living helps us to capture the essence of life, to go back to the fundamental aspects of being a human being, and to enjoy our lives full-hearted. Sounds perfect to us.
At Népra, we want to eliminate fruitless noise from our lives and focus on the simple beauties of life. Concretely, we want to say a clear no to the modern mania of multitasking, meaningless overconsumption and being fake busy both in our business and personal lives. We want to be more mindful and focus on what matters the most to us: create as sustainable choices as for us possible with the current materials and knowledge.
One of the key aspects of minimal lifestyle is to go off the treadmill of consumerism and possessing as much as possible. The less we own, the more space we create both physically in our homes but it frees our minds too. This is why, as crazy as it might sound, we as business owners advice you to eliminate everything that does not fully serve you.
Minimal sustainability in a nutshell: buy less, choose well, and make it last.
