Sustainability is probably today’s top word in marketing and it is understandable. Climate change is the biggest threat we are facing and we need to make more responsible choices.
We understand that this is something much bigger than us making sustainable clothing or you buying them. Responsibility is about what it represents on the universal scale. This is about believing in something much bigger. We want to be part of making a tangible difference in the textile and clothing industry.
The most important part of being a responsible brand is to acknowledge that we are part of the problem. The textile industry is the second-biggest polluter in the world and staggeringly the second-largest consumer of water. Making fabric uses water, energy, chemicals, and other resources that most people don’t care to think about let alone ever see. Washing items made of synthetic fabrics releases microplastics. Growing one-kilogram cotton requires 20 000 litres of water. You see, no clothing brand is 100% sustainable, but that said, there is so much we can do to offer better choices, and we believe that transparency is the key when it comes to taking responsibility for our actions. We want you to know the why behind our decisions.
